Meet
Kristinia

Hello, and welcome! My name is Kristinia Pye, and I am a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor who believes that healing begins when we feel seen, heard, and accepted just as we are.

My educational journey began at Wayne State University, where I earned my bachelor's degree in English with a strong emphasis in linguistics. Studying language and communication gave me a deep appreciation for the many ways people express themselves across cultures and experiences. It taught me that communication is about so much more than words; it is about understanding, connection, and meeting people where they are.

I continued my education at Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio, where I earned my master's degree in counseling. Along the way, I received specialized training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Intergenerational Trauma. I also have a professional background in grief and family counseling, as well as behavioral health counseling. My counseling approach is rooted in Gestalt Therapy, a "here and now" perspective that encourages awareness, authenticity, and healing in the present moment.

My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are, a place where you feel safe enough to process your thoughts, emotions, and life experiences with intention and without judgment. Together, we will explore your strengths, increase self-awareness, and discover practical ways to move toward the life you desire. I believe healing happens through compassion, curiosity, and connection, and it is a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they grow.

Outside of the therapy room, you'll often find me coloring, working on word searches, traveling, or exploring new places around the city. These simple moments remind me of the importance of slowing down, embracing curiosity, and finding joy in everyday life. I believe healing is not just about working through difficult moments; it is also about rediscovering the things that make us smile.

One quote that has always resonated with me is from Dr. Wayne Dyer:

"When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."

I believe each of us is doing the very best we can with what we know today. Sometimes we simply need a safe, supportive space to gain a new perspective, uncover our inner strengths, and take the next step forward.

Thank you for considering me as part of your healing journey. I look forward to walking alongside you with compassion, encouragement, and hope as we create meaningful change together.
